Know Your Body Community - Leeuwarden

The Know Your Body Community is a recurring meeting especially for anyone who has previously participated in the lifestyle training programme. During these meetings, former participants come together to share experiences, inspire each other and continue to support each other in working towards a healthy lifestyle. In this community, you can: Exchange experiences Talk together about what is going well, what you are proud of and what is still difficult. Find recognition and acknowledgement You will meet people who are facing the same or similar challenges. That feels familiar and motivating. Continue to pursue your lifestyle goals During the meetings, you can talk about how you are doing with your goals, where you are now and what steps you still want to take. Get tips and advice From each other and from the coaches. You don't have to do it alone. Stay in touch You will meet people who, like you, are working on healthy living and taking control of their own lives. This provides support, inspiration and new insights!

Moody's A place for and by young people! Young people aged 12 to 27 can come here with all their questions and ideas, but also to get to know others, learn new things and discover what they enjoy doing. Our regular opening hours are Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and on Thursday evenings we eat together between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. However, these times and days may sometimes vary, so check our Insta (@moodysleeuwarden) highlights for the current schedule. If you don't have Instagram but would like to know the schedule, send an email or text message to one of the contact persons or email moodys@amaryllisleeuwarden.nl. What is there to do? Our activities vary per period. We work together with young people and organise what is needed. So if you have a good idea, we can help you make it happen! Sports activities, game tournaments, craft afternoons, game nights, cooking clubs and podcast recordings are just a few examples of what there is or could be to do. Apart from the activities, there are also various youth workers you can turn to with questions about money, housing, work, school, relationships and mental health. More info? Feel free to drop by. Gerard Smit Odensehuis

Are you caring for someone with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or non-congenital brain injury (NAH)? Then you are not alone. The Odensehuis is there especially for people with these conditions and their loved ones. We look not only at the disease, but also at the person and what is needed to make life as pleasant as possible. In a warm and open atmosphere, professionals and volunteers together offer a varied range of activities. Your neighbour can participate in a way that suits him or her - from having a chat to being creative or taking part in an activity. At the same time, there is also space for you: for a listening ear, a moment of rest or advice when needed. This facility is a collaboration between the Odensehuis, Amaryllis Ontmoeten en Meedoen and Windkracht058. This allows us to offer low-threshold support where we can, and scale up where needed. Especially for new participants, this can be a nice place to experience support in a different way than you might be used to.

Game Connects

This place is part of Meet and Participate. Come along for a relaxing morning or afternoon with coffee, tea and a chat? Join in with games and creative activities. For example, you can do seasonal activities such as making a Christmas or flower arrangement. We also sometimes listen to themed music together and your ideas are always welcome in the suggestion box! The activities are in small groups (maximum 10 people). On Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, the groups are private and applications go through your neighbourhood or village team. On Tuesday mornings, we have an open creative morning where you do not need to sign up. We also make a tasty lunch dish such as soup or smoothie.
