Youth
A happy and safe childhood is what we wish for all children. Children and parents are therefore welcome at Amaryllis.
This is what Amaryllis can do with you
Amaryllis is committed to youth (0-12 years) in the municipality of Leeuwarden in various ways. With the children themselves and through the parents. We do this from our social neighbourhood and village teams and from Team Youth Work. (Team Youth Work is for youth and young people aged 10-27).
We are there to prevent problems in children and to support parents and children when problems do arise.
In our commitment to youth, we work together with schools, the Youth Expert Team (JET) of the Municipality of Leeuwarden and organisations such as the Municipal Health Service (GGD).

Activities
We organise activities where children or parents can meet.
Activities for children
For children aged 10 and over, there is, for example, Girls' Work and Teenage Work, both organised by team Youth Work. There are often extra activities for children during the holidays. This allows them to have fun, meet other children, exchange experiences and maybe make friends.
Activities for parents
Do you enjoy meeting other parents? And could you use some parenting tips? Then come to one of our cosy parent-child cafés. The children can play in the meantime. Check the calendar to see when there is a parent-child café near you.
Meeting centre for young parents (OJO)
OJO is a meeting place for (expectant) young parents, who are pregnant or have had a baby before the age of 24. Until the age of 28, you are welcome at OJO.
The meeting centre is a drop-in place where you can go at any time. To meet other young parents or for information and advice from Amaryllis. Stop by for a cup of coffee or tea!

Supporting parents and children
Does your child have problems at home, school or mental health issues, for example? Are you worried about your child's safety? Or do you need support with parenting? Amaryllis offers children and their parents support for minor problems. If more support is needed, we refer to the municipality's Youth Expert Team (JET).
Group, individual and online
We provide our support in groups and individually. Online support is also possible, for example through the e-health programme Gezondeboel.
Group support for parents, for example, deals with good parenting after divorce. For young fathers and mothers, the door is open at the Meeting Centre Young Parents (OJO).
Call, email or come to our social neighbourhood or village team in your area. Even if you only have a short question. Together, we look at what you and your child need.

Leeuwarden parenting centre
Opvoedpunt Leeuwarden is the place where you can ask all your parenting questions. That way, small questions do not grow into big worries. You can call, mail or visit a consultation hour at one of the locations in the municipality. The parenting centre is a collaboration between the municipality of Leeuwarden and GGD Fryslân.
