Meeting Bilgaard with special focus on dementia and informal care

For all district residents of Bilgaard and its surroundings. With a special focus on (incipient) dementia and informal care. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Tuesday & Thursday in the WijkkoepelWednesday in Wijkcentrum Bilgaard Anyone who enjoys meeting other residents for coffee and tea, cosy chats, a listening ear, activities, information on dementia, informal care and appropriate activities in the neighbourhood. A staff member from the Odensehuis or Amaryllis is always present, in addition students from NHL/Stenden and Firda complete the team. You can drop by without registering; for half an hour or the whole morning, once or more often, according to your own needs. The pilot 'District-oriented meeting for people living at home with (incipient) dementia' is a collaboration of Odensehuis Gerard Smit, Amaryllis, Case Managers Dementia, Alzheimer Nederland, municipality of Leeuwarden and Wijkvereniging Bilgaard and financially supported by De Friesland.

Do you want to be active in the pool? Join in on Tuesday afternoons in Zwembad Kalverdijkje (target group pool). You can swim laps, participate in a ball sport or another game, or just relax and float. In short: nothing is compulsory, everything is allowed - you decide what suits you.

Game Connects

Come along for a relaxing morning or afternoon with coffee, tea and a chat? Join us for games and creative activities. For example, you can do seasonal activities such as making a Christmas or flower arrangement. We also sometimes listen to music with a theme together and your ideas are always welcome in the suggestion box! The activities are in small groups (maximum 10 people). On Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, the groups are private and applications go through your neighbourhood or village team. On Tuesday mornings, we have an open creative morning where you do not need to sign up. We also make a nice lunch dish such as soup or smoothie.

Getting creative - in a low-stimulus environment Want to work on your own project, attend a workshop or just hang out? Especially if you are familiar with ASD (autism or related characteristics), here you will meet like-minded people in a creative and relaxed way. We provide a calm and low-stimulation atmosphere in which you can be yourself. There is space to meet, have a conversation and drink coffee or tea together. It is a time to be creative and give shape to your ideas. Feel free to drop by to get acquainted if this appeals to you. That way, you can taste the atmosphere and experience whether this suits you. This place is part of Meet and Gather.

Meeting and Participating at the petting zoo

There is always something to do at the petting zoo! Together with volunteers, professionals and participants, we look after the animals, maintain the greenery and the enclosures, and help clean and maintain the buildings. You can also get involved in the canteen/catering. We are open to new ideas that suit the children's farm. For example, we are busy with creative activities and working with natural materials. We also want to expand our vegetable garden and are looking for people who like to think and act. There is also room to grow together in hospitality. If you would like to roll up your sleeves, work with us or just get to know us, give us a call or drop by the petting zoo - you are very welcome!

Ontmoeten & Meedoen and the Kringloopwinkel Grou work together under one roof. At the thrift shop, you can take part in all kinds of activities in cooperation with committed volunteers. In the space next door, you can take part in activities supervised by Amaryllis. Think about the following activities at the Kringloop: refurbishing furniture or bicycles sorting clothes and stuff Activities among others at Amaryllis: games and puzzles creative or exercise activities drinking coffee and tea together An Amaryllis staff member is always present to fall back on, and Social Village Team South is also nearby for individual support.
