Many meetings open day mfc and Amaryllis Camminghaburen
The joint open day of multifunctional centre Camminghastins and our Social District Team Camminghaburen on Wednesday 4 June was a success. There were many visitors, meetings and, moreover, great ideas.
Young and old came to this festive and convivial afternoon. For children, there were activities such as a colouring competition, a bouncy castle and ice cream. For adults, there were snacks, drinks and live music.
Meeting succeeded
The main aim of the open day was to meet, and it succeeded. All local residents were welcome to get to know mfc Camminghastins and the social neighbourhood team. What is there to do in mfc Camminghastins? And what does a social neighbourhood team actually do?
Social District Team Camminghaburen is one of the teams of Amaryllis, the social work and welfare organisation in the municipality of Leeuwarden. Other Amaryllis teams such as Youth Work, Voluntary Work and Community Development also attended. Staff from neighbourhood organisations also visited: from the GGD, Kwadrant and the GP post to budget coaches and BV Sport.
Great ideas and conversations
"Neighbourhood residents also enjoyed meeting each other," says social worker Anne van Dalsen. "And the great thing was that people didn't just ask about Amaryllis' consultation hours and the activities in the mfc, for example. They also came up with their own ideas, such as a bingo night or folk dancing. We can support in setting up such or other activities. Furthermore, a lot of great conversations arose."
