"Everyone is accepted as they are"
"I really wanted to do something with young people," says Roelien. "In Wilaardahof, where I live, everyone is twenty years older than me. Here, more people of my age come here. What I like here is that everyone is accepted as they are."
Meet and Join Leovardia is every Tuesday afternoon in the canteen of SL Leovardia. Staff from Amaryllis, together with students from learning company FP neighbours Firda, organise a fun afternoon for a group of about 16 very different people.
"We do all kinds of things," Roelien explains while making her puzzle. "We always start with coffee and a chat. Then we often play games or do crafts. We also sometimes go somewhere else, like the museum or the petting zoo."
