"You learn to set your boundaries"

Thijs joined Conscious Exercise for a few months. An Amaryllis group where residents box with each other. The aim of these training sessions: to learn and dare to set limits and to be mentally and physically healthier.

"I was on long-term sick leave from work and heard from a friend that this existed. I decided to come along," says Thijs. "I met a lot of nice people here. Every Thursday we have a good time and have good conversations. Everything is negotiable."

Thijs has since recovered and is starting work again. "Unfortunately, this means I can no longer join this group. But I have got to know my physical and mental limits better."

Thijs also has another tip for people who have trouble recognising or indicating their limits: "Join Conscious Movement. Step out of your comfort zone and discover what it can offer you. With Amaryllis' guidance, you are in a safe environment to learn to understand yourself and others better. Afterwards, you will feel much better about yourself."
